About SlugGetter Slug Traps

We originally developed SlugGetter traps as a decorative solution to protect our flowers and vegetables from destructive slugs in the wet rainforests of Southeast Alaska. We wanted something more attractive and durable than the homemade traps we'd been making from used cottage cheese and yogurt containers, but liked the effectiveness of traditional beer-baited traps. Prompted by the urging of our friends and neighbors who had been using our early versions, we soon resolved to help others enjoy the benefits of potent slug control with ornamental traps that would add charm and interest to their gardens. Through the reach of internet commerce, we've been helping gardeners across the United States, Canada, and Europe with safe, fun, and effective slug control since 2021.

We design and produce the traps in our small 3D printing studio, using sustainable, plant-based PLA plastic. We can produce custom orders if you want something that you don't see on our site, and offer wholesale pricing on quantities as low as 10 traps. And we'd love to hear from you if you have stories (or photos) of your success that you'd like to share.

SlugGetter Traps have evolved as adaptations and remixes of the following designs from Thingiverse.com, through Creative Commons licensing: #5364673 by AKMonkey, #3581457 by raptor1jec, #182332 by YahooJAPAN, #1778540 by Berwicks3D, #4825384 by framedworld, #1170378 by MustangDave, #4941330 by matsonik
